In order to promote transparency and accountability in the working of every public authority and to empower the citizens to secure access to information under the control of each public authority, the Government of India have enacted “The Right to Information Act, 2005”, (RTI Act) which came into force on 15.06.2005

The Superintending Engineer-1&2 are the Apellate Authority. Executive Engineer-1,2,3&4, Chief Finance Officer and Special Land Acquisition officer are nominated as State level PIO. PIO is based in the Head Office. PIO is assited by Assistant PIO;s stationed at Head Office. Company Secretary, Executinve Engineer, Bangalore (North) & Bangalore (South), Mysore, Hosapete, Shivamogga & Hubli are nominated as District level PIO's.

All the available information is collected by PIO through Assistant PIO from Head Office and Regional officers and are forwarded to the applicants under the signature of the PIO. As on date, no RTI applications are pending with KRDCL and no penalty has been levied for any default by the Karnataka Information Commission.
